Peek roof line.

Roof edge or eaves edge all the boards running along the edge of the roof or eaves. Pitch for a gable roof the most common is generally 1 4 or 1 3. If your rafters are still sagging a bit and it is causing your roof to dish out a little in the center of the roof sides add a 2x4 that goes all the way across the rafters in the center of the length of the rafters. Use your string line to determine how much the roof need to go up.

Usually made from 1 2 inch plywood the decking closes and reinforces the roof structure and provides a nailbed for the shingles. You roof line is now straight and your floors are as well. Pitch can vary a great deal from a shallow slope up to a very steep pitch. A roof comprising a mono pitched roof or for larger buildings series of clarification needed mono pitched roofs with vertical surfaces glazed and pitched upward in general terms away from the equator though other directions suit if direct sunlight is desired and where rooftop access may otherwise be impracticable.

Which is equal to 1 4 or 1 3 the total span of the building not counting any overhang. Pitch is the slope or angle from the wall plate to the roof ridge line.
